Shared purpose. Local leadership. Lasting impact.

We welcome practical collaborations grounded in shared priorities, clear responsibilities, ethical implementation, and measurable learning.

A SHARED COMMITMENT

Why work with HHF?

HHF approaches partnership as a working relationship,
not a logo exchange. We prioritize community voice,
practical implementation, and accountability
throughout the collaboration.

Community-informed design

Start with locally identified needs and listen
to the people affected by the work.

Defined roles and safeguards

Agree on responsibilities, appropriate approvals,
ethical expectations, and implementation boundaries.

Evidence and measurable learning

Set proportionate objectives, document progress,
and use findings to improve delivery.

Responsible stewardship

Use appropriate governance, financial oversight,
and reporting for each agreed partnership.

A clear process

Your partnership journey

These three stages help both organizations determine whether collaboration is feasible and what accountable delivery will require. Select any stage to see more detail.

01Explore alignmentUnderstand priorities and mutual fit

We begin with an inquiry and introductory conversation about the communities involved, shared aims, organizational capabilities, and available resources.

  • Discuss mission and geographic alignment.
  • Identify the community need and proposed contribution.
  • Decide whether the idea merits further scoping.

Expected result: A clear decision on whether to explore collaboration further.

02Define scope and responsibilitiesEstablish clear expectations and approvals

Where an opportunity is feasible, HHF and the prospective partner develop a practical scope of work and identify the appropriate approval and documentation requirements.

  • Agree on objectives, activities, resources, and timelines.
  • Clarify safeguarding, data handling, branding, and reporting.
  • Obtain required organizational approvals and document commitments through an appropriate agreement where necessary.

Expected result: A defined collaboration with agreed roles and authorization to proceed.

03Implement, measure and learnDeliver responsibly and review progress

Approved partners coordinate agreed activities, maintain communication, review results, and adapt implementation when evidence or community feedback identifies a need.

  • Deliver agreed activities with appropriate supervision.
  • Monitor outputs, outcomes, use of resources, and learning.
  • Review whether to close, continue, adapt, or expand the collaboration.

Expected result: Documented delivery and a reasoned next-step decision.

Important information for prospective partners

HHF is not currently a grantmaking organization. We do not offer direct grants, scholarships, unrestricted funding, or equipment purchases to external organizations or individuals through our partnership inquiry process. Submitting an inquiry does not establish a partnership, authorize use of HHF’s name, or create a funding commitment. All collaborations are subject to review and appropriate organizational approval.
